Under the 70% of Hungary’s territory you can find underground thermal springs. This hot mineral water has been used by the people living here for more than 2000 years for different purposes. The thermal water of Cserkeszőlő is the hottest and richest in minerals in Hungary.

The warm medical water has three different effects: mechanical, thermal and chemical.
Mechanical effect is the lifting power, the hydrostatical pressure; thermal effect (32-38Co) makes blood circulation and peripheral circulation quicker and raises respiratory cardiac output. Chemical effect manifests in two ways: certain component parts of medical water make their impact through the skin others have pharmatological effect by obtaining access into the circulation.

The bath of Cserkeszőlő was declared a spa and offers various medical and wellness treatments for its guests. The treatments are led by 2 doctors, 15 nurses, medicinal masseurs and other experts. The medical wather is recommended especially to those who suffer in locomotor diseases, gynaecological, urological, respiratory organ illnesses or have dermatitis. Prices of different treatments vary from 4 to 20 €.

 

The fully accessible spa is waiting for the guests who wish to relax or recover with several in-and outdoor medical pools, swimming pools and fun pools.

You can make excursions to Tiszakürti Botanical Garden or to the nearby town, Kecskemét which is also called “the capital of Puszta”. In Kecskemét you can see numerous beautiful secessionist buildings, find a lot of cultural programs and shopping centers.

7 nights’ holiday for families in one of Hungary’s biggest spa

The thermal- and fun bath having numerous indoor, outdoor pools and other attractions lies in a beautiful park of Zalakaros – a small Transdanubian town. Medicinal pools, children’s pool, wave pools and other water attractions offer rest relaxation and joy to the whole family.

The entire bath area and most of the pools are accessible. The warm mineral water of the spa has a healing power which makes itself felt after some days.

The multifunctional 400 m2 sport pool is available through the whole year for those who wish to swim or do water gymnastics.

In Zalakaros children are also paid much attention: an indoor fun pool is waiting for them with various water attractions such as the tilting bucket, mini slide, mini waterfall or 5 big slides for the elder ones.

In the hall of the bath you can find a “children’s corner”, a TV room and other rest areas with folding chairs. The various medical and wellness treatments can be ordered on the spot. Prices vary from 2 to 36 €.

Some examples to wellness treatments: special massages (chocolate, aroma, „bamboo” or honey), mud bath, tub-bath, salt chamber, sauna, solarium, etc.

There are several beautiful places in the neighborhood where you can make excursions to, among others to Lake Balaton or to Small Balaton and visit the buffalo- and bird reservoir there. You can also find a lake for fishing and boating near Zalakaros.
